Wipe up all water, then run the machine and watch carefully. Water can originate from the door seal, hose connections, pump, tub, or detergent dispenser. Each source requires a different fix.
Fully open the door and fold back the rubber gasket to look for tears, cracks, or objects (hairpins, coins) lodged in the folds. Also check the drain hole at the bottom of the seal — if blocked, water pools and eventually seeps past the gasket.
Inspect both inlet hoses and the drain hose at the machine and at the wall fittings. Tighten any loose connections by hand. Do not overtighten — plastic fittings crack. Replace rubber washers inside hose fittings if they are cracked or flattened.
Tools needed: Pliers
A cracked or improperly seated dispenser can spray water onto the floor during the fill cycle. Remove the drawer and inspect the housing for cracks. Rinse and reseat the drawer to confirm it clicks into place.
Water leaking from underneath (not from hoses) often points to a failed pump seal, tub seal, or cracked tub. This is a more complex repair. Check the pump drain filter housing for cracks.
Tools needed: Flashlight, Screwdriver set
Tilt the machine forward to drain the base pan and dry it completely before investigating the leak source. If the door seal is intact and hoses are secure, the sump or pump seal may be cracked.
