Remove the dispenser drawer and soak in hot water to dissolve detergent residue. Use a small brush to clean the housing recess inside the machine. Heavily caked-on detergent can physically block the dispenser actuator from moving.

Unplug the appliance from the wall for 60 seconds, then plug back in. Some control board errors are transient and clear after a full power reset. If the error returns, continue diagnostics.
Use a multimeter to verify the outlet provides the correct voltage — 120V for most appliances, 240V for electric dryers and ranges. Low or fluctuating voltage can cause control board faults.
